wow, Temi and Afritina! THIS IS SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!! My partner and I also met through art. We met in 2011 at Pratt, and we were best friends all through college and I told him I fell in love with him 5 days before graduation. We lived and worked in NY after graduation and then quit our work visas betting on our joint creative future with our creative studio, TakeThree. We've been running TakeThree for 4 years now and hope to be here for a long time as it's our life mission to live a more meaningful creative life. It's really awesome to learn about your love story. Also incredibly gorgeous jacket!!!
omg that's so dope to hear! So glad this resonated with you. I'll check out your creative studio. 4 years is amazing! Wishing you longevity with the studio and your relationship! Of course there's ups and downs but it's good to see others doing it too as a couple!
oh yes, lots of challenges, lots of couples therapy and personal therapy, lots of working on our communication and not letting the ego take over as well as making sure to compartmentalize and still have relationship/friendship type of time.
Such a beautiful story. I am always intrigued by creative partnerships where artists both work together and love one another .... there is so much richness in this. And, I presume, certain challenges?
Thanks so much Kathryn. Absolutely there are challenges but you learn to work through it. Sometimes it requires sacrifice or compromises. Biggest thing is to reminder ourselves we're on the same team.
I love the jacket, the representation and the story. My wife and I met around the same time and bonded through art as well. It’s such a beautiful thing to have a deep connection and shared interests with the person you plan to spend the rest of your life with. I wish you two the best man 👏🏽
Thanks so much Ashton!! And that's amazing you met your wife in a similar way. I'm blessed to be able to connect and share interest with my wife. it's such a breath of fresh air.
Very well done and an even greater story behind it. Congrats!
Love this so much Temi!!! Such a beautiful jacket design too. Of course. <3
Thanks so much Christina!!
